Mondoli Writing · Philadelphia
We just met. Here's what I actually do.
I write your parents' life story, and print it as a book for your children.
Not a memoir they have to write. I do the asking. I interview your mother or your father — and the people who know them best — over a few months, and turn all of it into one printed volume your family keeps. It's a private family biography: nothing is published, nothing is for sale.
How it works
We start with a call to figure out whose voices belong in the book. Then ten to eighteen recorded conversations, an hour each, by video or phone. You approve the outline before a word is written, and the family reviews the manuscript before anything is printed. If you want, our photographer travels to where the life happened.
If your parents are still here
Most people mean to do this and don't. A thirty-minute call costs you nothing and tells you whether this is the right year to start. Write to me and mention where we met.
